It's mad to have two RBs on the bench but no back up striker. You need two GKs for internationals like this, and I can understand having two CBs by the same logic. But clearly Southgate sees Rashford as a central player, which is dumb. It's not like he hasn't been seeing him play for United every weekend. It's not Rashford's position or style of play, and your other forward players are all too small to play striker.

Crap decision. Sometimes you need a battering ram and DCL is the best option if you need that kind of goal. Hopefully they have to throw Maguire up top at 80 minutes so the waistcoat clown can see what he has done.

I thought DCL should have been utilised against Scotland and he might even unsettle the Italians if England get through.

You've got Sancho, Grealish and Foden who can also do that. There's no other out and out striker available who can hold it up and he would be handy in both boxes.
