I mean 56 goals in 181 games doesn't equate to one good half season.

That would be an insane half season.

The point you were clearly missing is he 19 when he arrived, he's 24 now and gotten better and better every year (as a player should).

Agree. I seem to recall Lampard said he was 70% fit for the Leeds game or maybe Newcastle, but I am fast losing patience as he has had a lot of minutes on the pitch recently and does not seem to be improving. For me his mind is elsewhere

Considering he got more than a quarter of his whole tally in them first 11 games last season ( not even half a season ) I think that's a fair assessment.

I don't he's gotten better as a footballer at all, think he was just coached better last season and got more chances.

He was limited the day he come and at 24/25 however old he is, he's still that same limited player.

You think he's no better now then when he arrived as a 19-year old?
 
Yeah he's been underperforming but he just returned from a significant injury, it's going to take time for him to get reacquainted to the game at an efficient level. There's a lot more glaring issues with the squad beyond him.
