A young english striker with a decent goalscoring record in recent seasons can easily fetch £60-70 million if one of the scab 6 come calling.

The fact he only cost us £1.5 million means our FFP problems go overnight + in addition to big earners like Toshun, Siggurdsson, Delph off the books in the summer.

This summer has big potential in terms of recruitment if we get it right and can sell DCL.

I dont think he will either but unless we pull a rabbit out the accounting hat like a big juicy Naming Rights deal for BMD at the upcoming AGM to free up some leeway to spend in the summer we need a big sale as simply put we need a good 5-6 signings of good quality this summer.

The situation "could be better"...the whole pitch shrinks when the opp aren't worried and that's detrimental to how we and the coaching staff want to see us play. As it stands, I'll settle for a healthy squad.

I don’t think he will be all that bothered providing he gets to reinvest the money into new players.

DCL is an average striker. His 2-3 goals in a few games against lower side teams really flattered his end of season stats. What is he actually good at? The amount of chances he misses are unreal.

I honestly thinks we need a refresh, get him sold and move on.

Ive said Many times un other post . Dcl is average , EPL English average product (aka: useless outside the islands) . His strong points are pivoting and finishing crosses tonthe small box , thats it .

He can't dribble a defender or shoot , his 1 vs keeper skill is Also horrible .

It's no coincidence that his Best season came from a very active digne crossing balls + Voldemort and James feeekicks .

If wey can scam some1 to bid 50+ M for Him we should take it inna heart bit , sadly That means his market is as small as the epl ...

Granted his job is to score goals but if we are so one dimensional, it becomes too predictable and easier to mark against.

Gomes' sub was to control the ball more in midfield which ultimately is Gomes' strength but he had a stinker but we have to be honest all the midfield did which didn't aid DCL overall performance but he does work off the ball which isn't viewed as valuable because he should be scoring goals.

Just look at what Kane does off the ball, he dropped to support his midfield and looks for runners going beyond him, yesterday we did try but we just couldn't get a foothold in the game.

Once Doucoure returns we will see more goals because we have a more active and physical midfield.

We forget that DCL has been out for a good while and Lampard has only had 4 games. Goals will come.
