2021/22 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I like Dominic Calvert-Lewin but feel Frank Lampard needs to use him more as a bit-part player in games rather than starting the guy from the off. At the moment I'm leaning more towards Salomon Rondon starting with Calvert-Lewin coming on for the last ten minutes or so.

I think the way we played didn’t help him today, he looked very isolated, but he needs to move more and he needs to be better at holding up the ball. It’s basic stuff.
No. He wants to be inzagi v2. Inzaghi u never saw until he got one (1) chance wich he would bury in the net. Dcl had 2 of those today and just stood frozen. Ges not good enough.

Really poor today. His lack of effort stuck out like a sore thumb today - casually jogging round whilst the rest of the team ran themselves into the ground. Don’t know what’s happened to his winning headers either. Since he’s come back his timing is so off. Seems to jump so early and wins nothing. Maybe he needs benching as well and the full Suicide Squad of Iwobi, Delph and Rondon can fire us to safety. A fittingly bizarre ending to this season.

But he needs to move around and change what he’s doing. When we are defending and the ball is with our fullback, who is under pressure and is blatantly going to clear it down the line … they look up, the pressure comes and they clear… straight to to opposition fullback as lewin is stood in the centre circle making sure his left leg on his shorts is rolled up to show is quad … drives me nuts … give them a ball, get in a position to pressure the full back, maybe win a throw ? Do something… anything
