For a player that relied on his pace and huge leap, it’s a big worry. If we were in a stronger position in the league I’d get him focussed on getting them stronger and sharper for pre-season.

It’s a massive worry this recurring injury because he’s hardly been at it during the games has he? Barely breaking sweat in most of them. This doesn’t look good at all. Good job Benitez was sacked as he was banking on DCL to catapult the team up the table the deluded gonad. Probably best to count him out for this season because we can’t afford to carry any players anymore.

Like bad knee / hamstring injuries quads are tough to come back from particularly if you play a certain way.
It's why I dont really buy the argument of DCL not trying I just think he's too mentally concerned about his quad getting injured again.
If the club have no plans to sell him I would get him under the knife and given the rest of the season / summer to recover as its obvious it hasn't fully healed.
If we plan to sell him then give him the season off and get a good sale.

Couldn't care less if they sold him this summer tbh. Has only had one good season since we signed him and that was last season. He could have another 3 poor seasons for all we know and it wouldn't be unusual for him. If someone is willing to give silly cash for him then take it imo. We can do better.
