Problem with lewen now is that his attitude is far more noticeable given the situation we are in. I'm all for giving players time but he has become the poster boy for why we are in a relegation battle now.

Given what the club has done for him in his career, he has clearly not got any thought of paying it back.

You expect players to be running through walls who really want to help the team out and we have seen these past few months he just isn't arsed. No pressing, no desire to get into positions or win the ball or even show for it. He even jumps 30 seconds too early for the ball repeatedly.

I think he is done here. If he isn't then he should be.

Van Dijk’s knee disintegrated and he’s played every minute of every game this season. Eriksen died and didn’t train for 6 months and walked into the Premier League and started running the show from the word go. Tell me again how serious Calvert-Lewin’s injury was.

And jesus rose from the dead after 3 days, that's about as relevant to DCL and his injury problems

He came back from that injury against Brighton which was like early January. Its really shouldn't be an issue at this stage.

If the injury is still causing a lot of problems then we really need to sell him to the highest bidder. He's 24/25 and thats very young to have recurring muscle injuries. These things don't tend to get better as you get older.

And any injuries will be someone else's problem next season

So including cup games he played 90 minutes in 4 of the first 8 games after he came back. If you want to pretend that's the same as 'playing 90 minutes in 5-6 games in a row' like you initially said then you can do, but it won't make it any more true.

As I said, if he wasn't fully healed when we brought him back then I agree with you, I'm just saying that in fairness if he was ready to play when he came back then I don't see much of an issue with him being asked to play with the regularity he was, and players are asked to do that all the time at all clubs.

Unfortunately his value is dropping rapidly this season. Theres a lesson there to start selling at peak value.
