He didn't need to. Rondon came on to cause some trouble which is what we needed, and he did a great job. If we were chasing that game I'd say Dom would've been risked. In hindsight it's the right call by Lampard
Dom celebrating with the players at the end looks like someone who cares. Gave a big congrats to Richy too(remember when everybody thought they hated each other?)

Even then it would be odd imo.

He cost us 1.5 million yet according to wiki has scored 43 goals in 160 appearances and, up until this year when injured, has always seemed to give 100% and was player of the year in 20/21 season at age 23. Add in he seems a genuinely lovely lad and I’m really not sure why all the abuse.

Suppressed sexual feelings.
 
Our last goals have been a defensive blunder v chelsea, scuffed/deflected shot v leicester, massive deflection v man united, 2 pens v burnley... we desperately need a goal scorer on the pitch and if he can get 20-30 mins v leicester then kick on he'll be the difference for us. I've seen Iwobi and Delph go from the most hated players to the first names on the team sheet in the space of a month so I'm certainly not giving up on DCL just yet and I think FL is managing him very carefully knowing how important he could be for us in the home games especially.

Correct, not enough goals in the team at the moment. DCL needs to come up with the goods soon.
 

15% of the hate for Calvert-Lewin surrounds the fact that he hasn’t scored any goals and is picking up lots of ‘convenient’ injuries (whatever they are). I believe the other 85% is purely because he has started modelling (weird) clobber. To hate one of your players for dressing weird is pretty shameful in truth and something we should be ashamed of. We need the lad back and we need him feeling the love we gave them yesterday, Even if he has decided to leave, imwould rather he was thinking About scoring a few as a farewell than thinking ‘sod them, let the drop’. We the fans and how we treat him could be the difference between those attitudes. I hate Delph and I hate Iwobi, but I want both to feel loved and cherished while we are where we are. Sort your heads out you utter whoppers, DCL, Tom D, Gomes, any single one of them should be getting nothing but positive vibes while we are fighting oblivion. Put the poison pens away until we are safe lads eh?
