Started off the season with 3 goals in 3-4 games if memory serves me right mate.

I'd say him being absolutely crocked for a long period of time had a massive impact with the rest of his season. Came back and scored a goal that probably only him and Richarlison would have flung their heads to get on the end of that ball against Palace.

Scored in the first three got Injured, returned not fit went through a barren spell scored two and an assist last three when he'd regained full fitness.

Obvious to even to a blind man that the injury was the reason he was derailed this sesson.


A fully fit DCL is 15+ goals a season almost guaranteed.

Still need a reliable striker as back up/competition signed as anything happens to DLC this season, injury or just form wise, and next season could end worse than last. Get him firing and Everton will do loads better and negate the Richarlison loss. There’s the prize.

Previous 2 seasons unravished by injuries he scored 15 & 21 goals in domestic comps. That's 2 years, not 3 months mate.

In the league he scored 13 and 16.

10 of the 13 were between 7th December - 1st March.
11 of the 16 were between 13th September - 5th December.

We can all play with stats and dress them up. He's not a consistent striker. Other factors do come into play, did we supply him in the same way all season? Does he run out of energy after a spell?

There's no doubting that he can find the net, when supplied perfectly. But my major worry (and this isn't Dom's fault) is that without the perfect assist, he's never going to grab a game and take control himself. The club should know this and have had a player who can do this.

Andy Gray was limited unless used in the right way mate, we used him right he was fantastic, same as if you used Lineker wrong he'd have been gash getting balls lobbed in at his head.

I'm not arsed about having a number 9 who is brilliant at every single aspect of the game, I want one whose very effective and DCL is that

Football isn't the 80's anymore mate. Full backs used to stay in defence, now they need to be up the pitch and back all game. Players need to be able to do more than one thing now.

But he isn't is he. He can't even finish a simple one on one. Our fans have some mad delusion about our players. I don't know how we're not fighting for Europe with some of the players we have.
