I think he’s checked out. Probably wanted to go for the last season or so. Plus the injuries he keeps getting. Not sure I’m expecting much from him any more.

Gone after the season long injury. It happens to pro footballers when you don't get regular games for more than 1 year and he was also injured at the start of the season.
Not sure why the club put so much faith in him despite that long injury. Not many players in this world is able to come back as themselves after so long. There are way more professional footballers disappear after such long injury than those who manage to comeback.
At this point, we're better off starting Ellis Simms or Tom Cannon - just like how DCL started many games when we didn't get Lukkaku's replacement.

But even in that spell he had under ancelotti his movement wasnt great. Nothings really changed. Unless you are supplying him with crosses to get his head on to then he is quite an average player who doesnt pull defenders out of position.
Marcus bent and andy johnson did that job for Everton very well in a team that wasnt fantastic.
Thing is aswell everyone outside of Everton thinks he's intergal to Everton. You can tell straight away they dont watch us much.

It is. But marcus bent played up front for Everton on his own. Worked his socks off. Span and run channels. Dragged defenders out of position.
If you havent got the talent in midfield you need a willing runner up front at least. Calvert lewin isnt fit enough to do that most of the time and even when fit he's not that type.
If no wingers/fullbacks crossing to him then he's virtually offering nothing.
