At his current state physically/mentally he is not a PL level striker.
Hold up play, movement, aerial ability, finishing, dribbling and actually pressing defenders is all half arsed.
If he's not in a fit state to play then he shouldn't, if he is in a fit state to play and he's stinking the place out then we should get rid for whatever profit we can get.
All the 'dross' strikers we turn our noses up at - Adams/Antonio/Wood/Batshuayi etc would give us more than Dom has done as 18 month.
Along with Gordon we should be biting the hand off anyone offering us anything north of £25m
 

had a good spell under carlo because we got the ball in the box. got his England place due to that. did well during that period and we played to his

ONLY

strength which is finishing in the 6 yard box. Frank doesn't understand this and therefore his team does not cross the ball leaving dcl totally worthless.

Should have sold two seasons ago. Never going to be close to how good Lukaku was for us. Lukaku would get into space or in a goal scoring position and I thought “here comes a goal.” DCL gets into the same positions and I think “well there goes the scoring chance.” Never going to be what some hoped he would be.

Players don’t cross when the striker shows no desire to keep up with play as a minimum, but ideally muscle their way ahead of a defender. He hasn’t done this for ages. Stopped running channels when Carlo said to stay central. Never restarted. Should maybe occasionally make the odd run, even just to drag a defender. But no.

Standing their static means we resort to hopeful Coleman floaty chips into the box which anyone paid £50k a week to head away will…..head away.

We don’t play to his strengths, but he has no idea what his strengths are ?
 
Rapidly turning into an Andy Carroll.

Needs to get properly fit to be effective and he's nowhere near it.

Ancelotti seemed to get the best from his strengths, all downhill from there.

Typical Everton relying one out and out striker though. We did the same with Lukaku, but were VERY lucky on injuries.
 
Can't use the lack of fitness forever.. he's played a few games lately...and been anonymous...but being our only striker.. (Maupay isn't a footballer)...we can't drop him unfortunately
