I actually don’t even understand the big deal. If he was a 30 goal a year striker I would get it but he nets about ten a year and also takes out pen’s.

I get he’s big and wins headers but surly Simms can do that. Maupay being 5 foot isn’t going to do that. I can’t see why we simply can’t put Simms up there.

Simms can't do that. He's not a target man, he doesn't win many headers, doesn't bring others into play. Simms game comes alive when he's 1 on 1 with the keeper (brilliant finisher in the main) and in and around the box he can sniff out a goal.

He's a million miles away from what a fit DCL provides. They all are.

Are you being serious?

Just play him on Sunday. If he breaks down for the season, then frankly, so what. Lose it and we are done anyway.

(Even if we eased him back in a month he’ll still get injured anyway.)
Easy saying that. It's either rest now and hope he gets fit for the run in our keep playing him to the point where he's completely written off for certain. The medical staff should have the data to make an informed decision on this.

Looked okay at the Lanzarote festival last week. My old fella just sent that after their holiday last week🤣🤣🤣
