I think a lot of fans like myself are really worried about the fear of relegation even though some wont admit it or dismiss it, I think some are venting their anger at a player who it seems from the outside wont play through the pain barrier for the club and supporters, I believe it was Dyche but stand to be corrected that said nothing showed on the scan.
When we see him training and messing around in training in the snow I think a lot of people expected or hoped he would at least have made the bench for last Saturday, some are pinning their hopes that hes going to come good and score us to safety, our night in shining armour or blue skirt whatever.
Yeah but this still doesn't justify the hate , as @Dixie1sixty says - otherwise we're saying that there's rule that because we care so much for Everton, spend so much time and emotion and money on the club, we can say, demand and expect anything. We can't. My biggest criticism is again with the club's leadership and communications - they need to either protect and respect him, and tell us the story, or throw him under the bus according to their recent form and say something - but they should communicate something about his injury, otherwise we're just making guesses

I fear for him because he's got about three weeks time now to get up to all sorts. New York Spring Fashion Week, for example, takes place next week, then there's the Vivienne Westwood Gala Dinner a week later. Plenty of scope for injury there.

Of course just kidding - enjoy your time off Dominic and get well-rested and be ready hopefully, to play 5-6 games this season which may be absolutely crucial to our club.

I criticise the club a lot for their communication but in this case i'm really not sure there's a lot they can say. As far as I can see, they have repeatedly given the same message - that he isn't necessarily 'injured' in the classic sense, but that he doesn't feel he's in a position to play, and they aren't going to push him. Assuming that they aren't lying, that's pretty much all they can say isn't it? That obviously means - rightly or wrongly - that people will be unhappy with him because they think he's shirking, which is why there's the backlash that people are talking about. That's unfortunate, but the club can't really win in that situation, the other option would be to lie which would also cause people to speculate and complain.

Genuinely feel we should publicly send him off like Utd did with Sancho, just get him out of the limelight rule him out indefinitely and let him work on whatever physical/mental issues he may have without increased pressure. This constant will he/wont he is doing anyone any favours.

If only every single Everton fan alive today could see in the summer that this was going to be an issue. If only it wasn't incredibly obvious to the board and FL that we needed an actual number 9 to take the pressure off Calvert-Lewin and give him the best chance to recover. If only everyone could see Maupay plays NOTHING like DCL and that we still needed someone to challenge for the position.

This club is ran by utter balloons and I feel sorry for Calvert-Lewin that he takes most the ire for THEIR failing.

Hard not to be frustrated with him but we don't know the full story.

The problem is the negligence in thinking we could rely on him this season. Absolutely no scope for the board to repeat the same mistake next year, even if Dom makes a full recovery after the international break. Honestly though, I think we'll be lucky to see him play again this season.

He's out until he's not, like I keep saying, not sure why everyone keeps fuming at the obvious updates. Most people raging think he's useless anyway so you're just pissing into the wind doing so.

I’ll guarantee the spurs game has been the one they’ve targeted for him. Always had the impression dyche couldn’t be ar*ed fielding questions from 2 Bob journalists on it so has been using phrases like we’ll see; he’s in and around it. Then we have a little video of him passing a ball 10 yards last week.
