2022/23 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I honestly can't understand the amount of hate this lad gets. As far as we know, he's an excellent pro, looks after himself, engages well with the fans, came here as a young lad and developed into a decent premier league player and aeems like a genuinely nice lad.

Yet here we are.

I don't think other injury prone players get the frequency of vitriol that Dominic Calvert-Lewin gets so that just leaves...a few quirky clothes choices? Really? Is that all it takes for some to hate/post abuse?? If so, that says a lot about you.
I think a lot of fans like myself are really worried about the fear of relegation even though some wont admit it or dismiss it, I think some are venting their anger at a player who it seems from the outside wont play through the pain barrier for the club and supporters, I believe it was Dyche but stand to be corrected that said nothing showed on the scan.
When we see him training and messing around in training in the snow I think a lot of people expected or hoped he would at least have made the bench for last Saturday, some are pinning their hopes that hes going to come good and score us to safety, our night in shining armour or blue skirt whatever.

It seems like he's done for this season, I'm not sure if he'll ever be fully fit again based on this season. We've had two windows to try and manage this situation and failed abysmally. If we manage to avoid the drop this year and do not sign a starting centre forward, not a back up, in the summer then no amount of effort, organisation and fan power will keep us up next season. It's maddening that we're still talking about relying on a forward who hasn't been properly fit for nearly two years.
