Hope he’s on the bench tomorrow

While I hope he will be, I doubt that'll be the case. As others have said, I suspect he'll be on the bench in a few weeks if he is this season.

Seems Dyche is ensuring he is fully recovered before he returns, a fit Dominic Calvert-Lewin for the last 5 or 6 games greatly increases our chances of staying up.

Been thinking for a while that’s the plan.

I think when he’s ready he’s ready

Managers before have had him on the bench not fit ‘just in case’ which is pointless

Dyche has said to tell him when he’s ready and then he’ll play

I reckon the first time we see his name in a squad, he starts, and it’ll be a huge boost to us and worry the opposition who’ve been planning around us having a winger up top

that may be a thought in Dyche's mind, lets face it, we've improved a lot without him and if we can 'comfortably' pull ourselves clear without him in the side, he has a prolonged recovery to make sure all is clear for next season. If it starts going awry on the pitch, he gets thrown in for the last few games

The thing is, if we work towards getting him ready for next season, experience tells us that the club will then assume that we don't need to sign a centre forward and Calvert Lewin will break down again in the first flurry of games next season. Rinse and repeat.

Club is smart to keep his injury/status to themselves. Make the teams we are playing guessing if we are going to have him available or not.

It’s an entirely different strategy for our opponent if he’s playing or gray is up top.

Yeah I definitely feel like that tweet was a little bit of Dyche mind games.

Might be giving people too much credit, but if you're making the opposition having to make a plan A and B in case he plays then that's only a good thing
