Do you honestly think that I have ridiculed this so called centre-forward of ours for the first time, in my opinion (For the 10th time) he is the worst C/F in
the Prem and has been for a few years. We have just sold a kid to Coventry that was better (In the air) than DCL. I am so frustrated with him as a player.

Simms in no alternative universe is better than DCL in the air. The weakest part of his game is his aerial ability and hold up play though he's improved season on season on this, he's absolute miles behind DCL when it comes to heading ability.

You'd only need to see one half of a Simms match to know this is the case.

If he'd said one on one Simms is better, I'd agree because generally he'll slot about 9/10 chances he gets (the abysmal effort against Man Utd away last season being the one out of 10 he doesn't make the keeper work). But in the air........nah he's miles behind where he should be for a player of his size and stature and thats the reason why Everton decided it was best to move him on. If he'd have even been a 6/10 player when it comes to hold up play and working the opposition center halves then he'd still be an Everton player now.

DCL is excellent in the air. His hold up play is also very good. The difference in performances with him and without was stark last season.

He's far from the worst CF in the league. Absolute nonsense
