We cant throw a potential 6 points in the bin, 3 would do, 4 would great.

And we can't risk losing our best player for another large chunk of time by rushing him back for 2 games we aren't likely to win. Be pragmatic.

45 in 6 seasons since he joined. Just over 7 strikes me as average.
Just for context if you’re including his development years, C Ronaldo (greatest modern game goalscorer?) got 18 in his first 3 seasons in the premier league as a young up coming kid, playing 95 matches.
Dom got 11 in his first three seasons playing 78 times.

He then had two seasons scoring 29 in 69 games and started the next with 3 in 3 before getting injured.

There is no way you can look at Dom’s scoring record for the two years before his injury and say he wasn’t scoring at an elite level.

I love it when somebody smarter than me presents facts like that and it supports my point of view... :celebrate:

Ronaldo was a winger…

Lampard's told us he can't do all parts of training yet so he should not be starting games yet either.

Rather he was a late sub for Spurs and Newc then have him hopefully in a position to start vs Palace, Fulham, Leicester, Bournemouth than start him tonight potentially too early and not have him for any of those very winnable games.

I can't take anyone serious mentioning Ronaldo and Dunc lite in same sentence

If that’s the level of comeback I might as well not bother ?
I was taking the best ever goalscorers first few years in the premier league and comparing them to Dom
Nowhere did I say they are similar players or Dom will become anything like Ronaldo because I’m sure he won’t but you were criticising the lads full career goal statistics with us without giving context to his first few seasons when he was developing

Elite level? Are Danny Ings and Callum Wilson elite strikers? Let’s not throw that term around. DCL is a decent Premier League striker.
