The chances he's passed up in the past month or so have been absolutely criminal - free headers over or straight at the keeper, one-on-one's clumsily poked straight at the keeper, shots weakly dragged miles wide, etc. Somebody like a Watkins, Solanke, Toney would have converted about 5-6 of the chances he's had since November alone.
I reckon if Beto was given an extended run in the team he’d start settling a bit more, he seems to be trying too hard at times causing him to look clumsy … can’t be easy with 10 minute cameos every week

The hard work, running and hold up play was great as he regained match fitness, was deservedly applauded off many games despite not scoring. But we can’t limp to the end of the season with a fully fit lone striker missing so many chances, and knocking in maybe 2 or 3 more goals. Its not enough.
If you had to pick one of our strikers to play every minute between now and the end of the season, it’s a tough call. Which one??

Seriously? Keane for me. Pressure off and let him have a go. Best striker of a ball we have and far more dangerous than lewin in the air and on the ground.

Nobody is shopping for new players like we’re looking for Europe - simply pointing out that DCL is currently not doing what we need him to, and based on his career record he’s unlikely to score the amount of goals even a mid table side needs from its main striker.
What convinces you he’s good enough and are you content with his goals return? Do you think his chance conversion is healthy? I’m genuinely interested to see what you think is great about him -personally I’m of the view he needs to contribute much, much more than he does currently.
