Imagine the big fella in that side.

I know Mikel can.

DCL confidence is shot to pieces in front of goal. However he needs to ensure it doesn’t affect other areas of his game - workrate and holdup play. I’d still have him in the team over Beto at present t.

DCL’s ‘goal’ yesterday will give him confidence going forward and will be a weight off his mind. If he swapped places with Harrison yesterday and was awarded the goal for basically trying to get out of the way, subconsciously he would know he hadn’t scored. However, he know thinks he is a leen, mean goal machine. Everton will benefit in the coming weeks ;)

Again, I’m really not sure his lack of goals is a confidence issue.

There are some bizarrely high strung folk in here.

It’s his goal. I’d say the same if it were any other player.

Why wouldn’t you want our number 9 to be credited with a confidence-boosting goal?

I see no other reason than irrational, personal animosity.

But it’s not his goal.

I would like him to score yes. But I wouldn’t agree when people are saying “that is should count as his” the last player to touch the ball gets the goal. It’s always been that way.

He’s taken a couple of other players when he’s got a final nick of the ball too so it’s all swings and round abouts
