I had a quick glance at some stats of just recent games. Fulham spurs and palace. Over those three games he's had 15 shots. Out of those 15 he's had 1 shot on target. Against spurs. Im discounting city away(was 0 from 2) and brighton yesterday( was 0 from 0)

I dont think people are expecting miracles from him. but 1 shot on target from 15 is terrible. We had a lad yesterday up from the back who probably gets 1 chance to score in about a dozen games, usually from corners, and took a half chance that fell to him and buried it. It was nothing to do with service. It was an opportunist chance that he put in the top corner. Are we saying we should never expect that from someone who's job description is actually striker? Does he ever score goals like that. I cant remember hardly any.
Our next game will be in march. He hasnt scored since october last year. Its staggering that every excuse under the sun is warranted to him by a lot of people. You can argue about the quality of chances. But he does get them. He just doesnt finish any of them. As a club we're desperate for a few more goals from our strikers. But lets not kid ourselves. Our front line are as bad as anything in this league.

I agree with what you say. His shot accuracy is really poor and you would expect a centre forward to at least slot a couple in 20 matches. To make a bit of luck for themselves. I also have questioned his own work rate during matches. I just think its a bit of both.

I've just checked and your right I thought he had set up about 6 of his 12 goals that season under Amcelotti. But it was 3 (they were all tap ins though against West Brom, Fulham and Burnley so I was half right lol)

Richardson 100% positively worked with Dom and has left a big hole at the front of the team. If not directly setting things up he was pulling players away and creating spaces, winning free kicks etc.

Anthony Gordon with pace would have heleped too if we could have kept him - slowest wingers in the prem atm ,,,

We have the ball for about 30% of games, during which time we usually get pressed, panic and lump it long to one man against 2 or 3 defenders. Haaland and Kane wouldn't even score goals in this team.

That's not to say he hasn't missed chances in recent games, but we all know he's a better finisher when he doesn't have time to think about it.

They would score a few because their movement, technical ability and finishing is far superior. They can also score lots of different types of goal, not just the ‘bundle it in from a yard’ type.

Hopefully sell him and take a chance on a championship forward like gyokeres if we had anyone decent in recruitment we could of got him for about £20m instead of Beto and Chermiti. Actually think Dwight Gayle is available on a free should make it happen kind of deal we would do.

You might be onto something there Spadge, I heard there's a video going round peoples DMs of exactly that.

First I've heard Dom was involved though. Though I imagine they both had similar success scoring.

Funnily enough DCLs goals mostly came when we did play footy.
