I’m not expecting us to sign someone from League 2 to replace DCL like, just thinking out loud.

Well we’ve been “trying to replace Lukaku” for about that long, even longer, even when Dom was here.

Tosun, and Walcott, are just examples in the £20m range we’ve bought up top.

This is something we simply must wrap our heads around as a fanbase. Would help if the people actually inside the club could learn it too.

We were never ‘replacing’ Lukaku. We have never had a consistent 20+ striker since the PL started other than him (none have ever even managed 2 seasons of 20).

He is not the norm for our standard of strikers (even if we would like him to be).

10-15 should be an expected amount and that’s what most clubs have and most haven’t spent £25m on them. There are strikers out there.

Lukaku or Jonathan David are better than DCL.

One of them for £25mil + DCLs wage off the books.

OR DCL for a season.

No brainer.

Id just add the cash into the pot or sign a right back.
