2023/24 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

It's down to those blue tinted specs mate that our fans wear.
This simply isn't true. The call is for consistency. The Branthwaite situation is seen week in week out and is rarely given. Shirts are held regularly in the box, there was one later on where an Everton player was dragged to the ground by their shirt. However, the challenge on DCL in the vast majority of cases are given as a penalty. Most are given by the on field official, Almost 100% of the ones missed on the field are given by the VAR.
The defender kicked through DCL's leg, no contact whatsoever on the ball and made full contact with his shin. There is absolutely no excuse for that decision not to be a penalty.

One of those that no fan wants to see being a penalty really. Striker clearly able to stay on his feet and maybe get a shot away. They just collapse their legs when the force of the challenge would in no way scythe their legs out.

However, it’s given as a pen every single weekend. Dom correct to go down as any other striker would. Therefore it’s a penalty. Obviously didn’t have the requisite scream of anguish, unearthing visions of lifelong injury that Garnacho lets out when similarly tapped on the shin.

Would love Dom to ride the challenge, barge the oncoming second man to the floor and lash it into the roof of the net. But those days are gone.

I want Dom to turn up next match with shaved head. Something symbolic to show he has sat himself down and decided to reinvent and reawaken. He’s been consistently uninjured for months now. People in the club are allowed to tell him to wake tf up and be the proverbial handful. Get involved in some handbags (no joke intended). Make some runs instead of trying to play like a big no 9 when nobody runs beyond for flicks anyway. Sod what Dyche says. Speak to Garner/Onana and tell them to play it where he points. Get him sprinting, even if only to push defences back to make room for Onana to operate. Only fast player we have and we never utilise it at all.

Massively underperforming, but currently just hoping once chance per game falls to him by accident. England strikers, which he once was, and did really well for them if everyone is honest, should be worked into positions to have multiple chances per game.

Urgh. Bored of it.

Beto and Dom need to start upfront soon, lacking goals and something needs to change ASAP, start of the season with doucs near him they linked up well, get better playing off him, what the worst could happen?

Some of those crosses into the box yesterday from OUR WINGERS Dom should of had a hatrick, any striker would have buried them, also them corners getting pinged in, not seen corners since Baines in his heyday.

Come on Dom sort it out

In the first half, when he turned and had that shot that was deflected over, there was a teammate to his right who had a free shot on goal....if he'd made the (2 yard) pass. It's these decision that we /he regularly messes up. In a game of fine margins half the battle is knowing what to do and when to do it. He doesn't.

A smart manager would take him out the firing line for a few games to get his focus back, instead what we’re seeing is more and more fans turning on Dom the longer his goalless streak goes on because of poor management
