2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

The encouraging thing is that we’re creating good chances for him which is a big improvement on last season. He’ll score goals if we keep creating chances, very good player.
Let's be honest. He's not "very good". At a stretch, Pickford is very good. Branthwaite looks like he could be very good. Other than that, there's not a player in the squad who isn't exactly where they should be - a team perennially fighting relegation.

Good and the bad of him in one game sat. The 1 on 1 i doubt hardly any Everton fan thought that ball was going in the net as he went in on goal.
His headed finish is where his strength is. Most importantly he looked interested. Terrible thing to say as it should be the bare minimum but he's a lad big enough to make life uncomfortable for centre halves even if his games not on it.

Noted he has scored two in two however he scored one of three clear chances on Saturday. We generally don't create very many chances so if his conversion rate is only 33% (on a good day) then we are screwed.

He is poor on one on ones - but the one he made a mess of the VAR - would have found him just offside - the one he hit the bar with may have taken a deflection 2 goals in 2 games in that team takes some doing - no overlapping fullbacks or defensive ones either .... -

If he bagged any of those, confidence in him would be huge...and we'd get some money in January for him

This "look beyond it". Well I'm not having a pop at DCL but you know first observations of a want-away player who is going to run down his contract rather than committing himself to the club, has a bit of a cheek to say 'look beyond it'. Secondly as Seamus isn't playing then we know someone has to come out with the usual sound bites after a game.

Maybe there's some hidden message that we need to give players time. I don't have a problem with that. The team are massively under-performing. There's more they can and will do. So I do look beyond it.

It's the manager that needs to be booted out.

Does Dom actually want away from Everton? My theory is he loves the club always pats the badge after he scores, he is always trying to be positive in social media, if Dyche is booted into the next universe like we all hope he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he signs a new deal 👍
