He's never going to thrive under this manager.

That what it costs for a hard working 1 in 3-ish striker, and the dinosaurs on here think we should just cast DCL aside and scout a replacement for 2 mill.

Playing like he is arsed again - it’s either for a new deal here or for a decent deal in the summer elsewhere, either way better for us.

The miss for 3-1 sums the lad up though, just not quite good enough.

Both are back up strikers at best at top clubs.

Its still a mystery that clubs weren't lining up to buy him if they felt he was something they need and no doubt he'll have more options on a free.

But I can't see any being any club in the top 6.

Part time, he's been here 8 years, he's 1 of our longest serving players and 1 of our highest scoring PL era players.

But oh well.

I'm always amazed that people are amazed when he misses 1v1's though. They whinged all Summer we needed to bin him off because he can't score 1v1's.
