Ahh, we've gotten to that part of defending DCL "well the others are worse!!" I'm not debating that. We're discussing Dom and the point stands, he's poor.

Not gonna lie I would dine out on that for years.

Back to DCL. May as well play him as much as we can while he's here and fit. It's an underwhelming set of contenders. Chermiti might kick on, it would be nice. Broja might surprise us, but his goalscoring record isn't great either. Seen some suggest he's better coming in from wide or as a second forward.

Create what - that first half performance on Saturday is hopefully as bad as it gets - It was only when he dropped Doucs further back & put McNeil in as a proper no 10 we had 20 minutes of football & scored 2 very good goals - DCL got 6 out of ten - average for most of that performance bar two players -
Continually griping about him on this thread - sorry we have no one better ATM - & any CF will struggle in Dyches set up - Doucs should not be playing .... go & moan on his thread .....
 
I really cant understand who dcl thinks is out there, who will pick up his wage demands, and play him regularly, that arent around the level we are currently at.

Is it more of a case of he cant stand the football we play and/or the manager?

If a club has to pay a transfer fee for him it might effect what sort of weekly wage he could get at a new club, but wait till the end of the season, leave on a free and he could get the wage he wants and a good signing on fee too. If it was anything to do with the way we play or the manager he could have gone in the summer.

Both would do my head in anyway.
Probably sick of pontificating whiny long winded answers to questions like: 'should I not be doing shooting drills instead of shoveling coal gaffer?'
 
Unless he's off to Saudi he almost certainly will not get the EFC contract money elsewhere. Plus he's not
very good and not a top-half of the League centre-forward. A number two certainly.

I hope EFC withdraw the offer at Xmas and see if he comes back begging.

As a free agent mate he'll get the contract from someone even if it means he does t start but is a squad option saying at Newcastle, Chelsea, United etc were they can pay 150k per week for a squad player
 

Watching Delap up front for Ipswich last week showed the kind of Centre forward you need to play 1 up front with not much possession. I think DCL is bored of it now and is looking forward to leaving at the end of the season.

European clubs will be all over him.

Could be a lifestyle choice, i know I'd want to get of this hellish island if i could go anywhere in the world and money wasn't an issue
