That’s what I thought. Benetiz and Lampard should have held him back but put him at further risk to try and save their careers. Benetiz did the same to Torres if I recall correctly and I don’t think DCL has been the same player since his initial injuries either.

Can see he’s got visibly more frustrated this season but he has never struck me as a difficult personality.

So weird what things stick in your memory. I know he was limited going forward but I loved Tony Hibbert so must have been that. If he was in our squad now he’d quite easily be our best fullback, which gives some indication of what Moyes is going to be working with.

This. And as a team 15 goals in the PL. Several players have scored more than our team. And at least two of those were own goals. So 13? Not stellar.
