2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I've never seen Moyes as a strikers best friend, all DCL can expect is 'Run the Channels' in a different accent

DCL does usually come alive when a new manager comes in. Scored twice in Big Dunc's caretaker game against Chelsea then we all know what he did in the first few months of Carloball.

Had a good start to 21/22 under FSW and even under Dyche he got himself fit for Arsenal at home and did a good job of holding it up and unsettling them for an hour before he couldn't give anymore.

Need him against Villa otherwise it's just Beto all game and that is literally it unless Moyes is going to go radical and attempt Ndiaye as a false 9? In that scenario you go Harrison left, Lindstrom right and Doucs as the 10 but doubt Villa or Spurs will be having sleepless nights about facing that or Beto so there lies the problem for the months ahead still.

Third time lucky eh. First Jesus, then Havertz. That little helmet haired nobhead is managing to avoid any criticism at all from the press and not sure why. He’s spent £120m on strikers.

Maybe we can start a rumour.

Finally. The knives are being sharpened for helmet head.

I'd try Dom in the old Fellaini role. Drop him deeper – his link up play is generally very good, he wins a load of headers, he (used to) have good energy in his pressing.

He could be more effective making late runs into the box, like Cahill used to, rather than trying to conjure up something on his own, which we all know he can't do. Stick him behind Beto and see what happens, it's not like we'll be missing much.

I said this in the football thread, he's spent hundreds for millions of pounds and only 1 fa cup to show for it.

I'd be shocked if the pressure doesn't really start ramping up on him if their (already limp) title challenge falls even either away.
It’s mental. I think it’s harder for us as Everton fans to laugh and ask for higher standards that arsenal want but yeah I do wonder how he’s manage to blag this reputation. I think he’s a fine manager but he’s way out of his league at Arsenal.

I’ll be very happy to see him fail, little rat.

Your currently a witness to it.....AND IT'S LIVE!!!

"Fact remains, players never down tools" except when they do

Players give up and ask to be subbed off, they get sent off on purpose because they cant be arsed, players fake injuries not to play at clubs and players go on strike to get moves.

Refs have said in interviews that players always used to come up to them before a game and tell them they want sending off during the winter period so they can have xmas off.

Happens all the time:coffee:
You wouldn't think he supported a team that has recently employed Morgan Schneiderlin.

And then there was Lescott's famous Arsenal performance.
