2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I’m not a fan of him at all, and failing to get a shot away when clean through was embarrassing - but his all round game today was excellent, it’s a shame he can’t be like that every week.

Absolutely bullied that Spurs defence today. But it was there to be bullied - felt like he was up against players that had never played centre half before.

We just have to hope it'll give him the confidence to do it against bigger challenges in the next few games.

I don’t know what I was thinking about the fee. But for sure Dom’s improvement helps us and his marketability. I really want him to do well this season. But he’s had a marked drop off in goals each passing season. We have to ultimately move on.

So if we sell him which is possibly likely - Beto is going also - which no 9 can we afford? Send Broja & Harrison back - two loanees become available ?
Beto is not in the same class as DCL - Dyche has ruined DCL with hoof ball - & money will talk we will only get a low fee & he wants high wages which DCL will not get ... nor deserves unless he plays like that every week which is a tall order.....
His downfall is one on ones .....

Much better since Moyes came in. I expect as we now create more, he will score more.

Great thing about yesterday is that because we had players around him and others scored, the pressure on him was lessened instead of fans screaming blue murder about the mistake when through on goal. First touch excellent, second on the knee was poor.

Now we are playing to suit his strengths, he will be so much better.

The drop off in the second half as doucoure got tired was huge because it was back to him winning headers for no one to run on to.
