2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

I didn't see the game so don't know how he played overall but that was a Quality Goal, 3 defenders within arms reach plus the 'keeper between him and the goal to spin 180 degrees and fire it in was superb and I wouldn't be surprised if it wins G.O.T.S.. It looked like he came close with his other chances and if he starts putting 50% of those away we will move away from the bottom in no time. If he can carry on with the improvement of the last 3 seasons he could be a superstar that we will struggle to replace.
Anybody saying he's not good enough for us and that he's not a striker and we should get rid have issues that aren't completely football related!

It was a good goal, but goal of the season!?? Wasn’t even the best goal in the match.

I know the service was awful under Dycheball but I think he downed tools which for me is completely unacceptable. Especially given the position the club has been in around the relegation zone.
Never get sick of this Dycheball forward, avoid the drop, technical masterclass, it's made in Dundee so we can always go back to it...

I really like DCL. At this stage, though, I fear he is already in the Iwobi mindset. Essentially, there’s been too much water under the bridge with Everton fans for him to renew his contract, so a) he doesn’t sign, barely scores from now until May and then leaves on a free, or b) Moyes rejuvenates him, his form picks up and attracts a whole host of new clubs…and still leaves on a free.

But what if TFG already knew he wanted to leave & did the following: Roma bid £10m for DCL. Lower than his potential value, but higher than Everton losing him for nothing in May.

Everton get some compensation to help with PSR/transfers
Roma get a proven PL striker at a knock down price
DCL gets his move to Serie A
TFG protect their asset

Win win for everyone?

orrrr we offer him a new contract and he stays, which i would prefer definitley so essentially under this bridge its waterless

I'd prefer him to be rejuvenated under Moyes, keep playing like he did Sunday, enjoy his football again, get a song and sign a contract

Its mental how DCL scores 1 goal and his fanboys come out with excuses and talk about lack of service etc.

One comment about him being rejuvenated under Moyes, when was he ever 'Juvenated' never mind 'rejuvenated'! (im aware its not a word)

He scored a good goal on Sunday, fluffed his lined every chance after that.

He goes on huge goal droughts and averages 5 goals per season.

He's a terrible striker. It is no coincidence no other team wants him

He’s not the best finisher I agree, but he will score more under Moyes than he did under dyche, like Chris wood is scoring more fo forest than he did at Dyche’s Burnley

He's an abject finisher, but at least giving him some more chances he'll by law of averages score a few more (and yes, miss more).
