The whole squad isn't a great standard so I don't get why Dom gets so much stick for not being Everton quality. Other than Lukaku and one or two good seasons from a couple of others we mostly haven't had good strikers for about 25 years.

Worked hard, won fouls, led the line well and ran the channels. He held it up well and kept us with a thin chance of getting something.

Yep, should do way better with the two one on ones which is why he’s never going to be a killer. He’s also miles better than anything else we have.

Exactly which is why people are making him out to be better than what he is because they are desperate for any positivity.

I’m well aware of what we are, ive said it enough times on here mate you should know that

He played well, and yet missed two glaring chances. Beto plays that game we don’t even score two.

Im not admonishing him from blame, just a weird paradox that he actually had a good game and yet managed to summarise his Everton career by missing two gilt-edged chances.

Not good enough for what we expect, way better than anything else we have.

Not sure how hard that is to understand.
