2024/25 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Interest from Newcastle, Spurs, United, Forest, Juventus, RB Leipzig, Marseille etc etc. I like Dom, but I simply don’t believe it. Not many teams these days can afford to tie up the salary he would want hoping he rediscovers the form he showed in a 3 month period almost half a decade ago.

No clue where he ends up.

I'm going with littlesue's prediction of him ending up in Saudi Arabia

Just on the injury record alone I would have thought clubs would be unwilling to use £100,000+ a week. On those appearances they would be entitled to offer half.

UTD makes the most sense, Jim and his cuts gets a striker for free?

And Everton will be thinking along these lines, too. Unless he's willing to drop his wage demands, he will end up in a farmers' league.

I'm sure he'll be regretting not taking the contract we originally offered him, but for our sake I'm glad he didn't.

Should offer him a new deal on reduced wages to be a backup striker for us. If he doesn’t like it he can go elsewhere but I don’t see anyone making him first choice so it might end up being the best deal he gets offered.

Think the best thing is to let him go. We need to have a back up striker that can come in when asked and bag a few goals while our starter might be out for a couple of games. With DCL he could pick up an injury in training and be unavailable when he`d be needed, or be in the middle of one of his barren runs which as we`ve seen can go 15+ games.

Probably best for all that he moves on.

Like many i really wanted Dom to succeed, but it's looked less and less likely at Everton. Would we regret it? I'd guess not.

….i’m sure he’d consider he has very much succeeded at Everton. Came here for £1m as an unknown, a number of big bucks contracts, a full England international and set to leave on a lucrative Bosman. Not a bad old life & good luck to the lad.
