Happy for the lad. But if he gets that clearance even remotely right, the game is over without having to scramble and ride our luck. Still though, he showed confidence and that's important for a young player. Hopefully he gets some time in a more comfortable situation soon.

Nice to see this lad get a chance tonight. Not sure he will quite be good enough but who knows let's give him every chance

Looks like the lad could be a bit of a threat in the air if he gets more appearances. Won a few flick ons after coming on, was in the mix on the corners and was doubled up on for the one which Williams found himself free due to him being such a distraction. Also cleared a corner in our box to relieve some pressure which was nice to see.

Can't really have a go at him for fluffing the clearance, on his weaker side with adrenaline at a maximum it can happen to the most experienced of players and his clearance afterwards should have resulted in a goal if Kev and Ross had been more in sync.

Promising start to his career and hopefully kicks on from this, not sure what it says for Geri though that at 1-1 Koeman's got more faith in a 19 year old making his first ever appearance, perhaps he knew he would put in a shift a bit more as well as giving a possible threat going forward.

Pretty much impossible to judge anything about him from tonights performance other than he seems like a good kid who is hungry for minutes.

Hopefully get to see a bit more of him this season

...I mentioned a month or so ago that he might just get a chance in December. You're right, he comes across as a really bright young man and a credit to his parents. From a football perspective, he's a traditional type of CF very much in the Graeme Sharp mould. I expect it was strange to find himself in defensive positions last night but there were a few hints of his aerial ability.

Chuffed for the lad.
