Striker are judge by the number of goals he convert from the chances he had.

I don't see us creating a lot of chances for him so far.

Apart from goals, he had done decent job.

he needs more maturity to get into goal scoring position and align his run to have an easier goal scoring posture. He is allowing defender to stay too close to him too easily.

If he continues with the current rate of improvement, i believe he will be a good striker in a couple of years.

The lad has been put into a really awkward situation. I personally don't think he's ready to lead the line for us but that's where we are right now and he's done it to the best of his ability - putting in some good displays along the way.

As to how he turns out, you can only guess but he definitely seems more Anichebe than Rooney to me. Could be completely wrong but can only judge the lad on the ability he's shown so far.

Just checked and he's 3 goals and 2 assists in 700 mins this season. Not bad considering we're playing so poorly

Can't fault the lad for his effort and skill if that header had gone in we would all be in a better place now.He is replacing a goal machine who due to his mouth we never took to.Don't buy all this bshit take his goals off we were the same nonsense,. HIs presence occupied oppositions back fours all game,which gave our midfield/defence lots more time and leeway over 90 mins.He is also playing in front of a team who are completely disjointed.He's going to be some player.If he was playing like Sandro people would be asking why he's got a locker.

See my earlier posts in this thread. A lot of people on here slated Harry Kane as a youth, DCL is at that age. Its upto him how good he will be.

I know what you're saying, but for balance I feel like I should point out that at the age of 21 Henry had a world cup winners medal (the actual world cup I mean, not the under 7s) and Bale had been voted PFA player of the year. Not exactly late bloomers.

I think Calvert-Lewin is showing that he could be a very useful striker, but he has a long way to go to suggest that he's right out of the top drawer. If we're being completely honest, if Sandro (who's less than 2 years older than him) had missed that header and ended up putting the ball out for a throw in from a very promising position out wide, people would be using it as evidence that he's just not got it.

I think you're right. He has the legs of a young Kane.

Ron read this post as DCL should start the game, then Niasse should finish it. This frees up space for three 10s and two DMs.
