aye...see also Gareth Bale, Thierry Henry and even Zidane...many great players don't bloom in the 19-21 age bracket.
I know what you're saying, but for balance I feel like I should point out that at the age of 21 Henry had a world cup winners medal (the actual world cup I mean, not the under 7s) and Bale had been voted PFA player of the year. Not exactly late bloomers.

I think Calvert-Lewin is showing that he could be a very useful striker, but he has a long way to go to suggest that he's right out of the top drawer. If we're being completely honest, if Sandro (who's less than 2 years older than him) had missed that header and ended up putting the ball out for a throw in from a very promising position out wide, people would be using it as evidence that he's just not got it.

You never saw Kane when he was loaned out to Norwich, then?

DCl is the one bright spot this season.. and maybe the lad from Croatia might be the second spot.
I did actually. But stop using Harry Kane as a comparison - the lad is never going to get there.

I'll repeat, there are a plethora of young players who have come into PL sides and done what strikers do... score goals

Owen
Rooney
Lukaku
Jeffers
Rashford
Jesus
Sterling
Vaughan

Just off the top of my head - DCL will never be a prolific goalscorer.

Aye, you've got a point...Dom's a long way from those examples. Still, I hope we can favourably compare him to Harry Kane in 4 years lol
