Not really a fan of his tbh but he has the same problem as the rest of our strikers and that is they're so isolated.

I know it's a radical idea but why not play two strikers and two actual wingers who can cross the ball in. And when I say wingers not sigurdson or Rooney playing wide

You mean fast wingers, hitting teams on the break with pace and making them drop back ten yards??

Nah, it’s far more attack minded to have deadball Gylfi hide and have 10 men behind ball

I have to correct you Siggy Wilkinson isnt hiding, he's sat next to me until the set piece opportunity

Why did Koeman persist in playing DCL yes we are short on quality strikers, but DCL wasn't the answer I class him as a good tidy player but that's it he will improve but will take sometime, a loan would help him a lot. We have Rooney,Sandro,Niasse at a push Lookman and Milallas, all them bar Sandro (because I haven't seen anything good from him yet) would have been more of a threat than DCL, Rooney and Niasse already have been. You could argue DCL holds up the ball better, but that's not an issue if Koeman had have played differently. I hope for the time being we don't see quite so much of DCL now that Koemans gone.

Because we have no one else to play up top on his own, Rooney did it V Brighton and we didn't ever look like scoring.

If ever there was any evidence needed about what this Kid is going through, running and hustling and chasing players down, for absolutely no service from anyone, it could be seen yesterday, when Rooney got a semi polite round of applause and Koeman got booed for taking him off.

I have no idea how demoralising it must be to work as hard as he does for the team and nobody has enough about them to create a chance for him.

Well Koeman should have changed his approach say play wingers, player 2 up top just do something different. IMO DCL can't really play up top on his own either, because we just haven't scored or even looked like scoring with him playing up there, but that's not his fault, like you said he was trying to do what he was asked. Koemans should have changed things the best he could with what he had, he didn't do that's why he's lost him job.

Clear as day what the tactics were and the TV screens may not of shown it, when Pickford has the ball go over to Monreal, when Arsenal have the ball stick of Mertesecker. When never got in between their midfield and defence, which means all he could do was work his arse off, which he did.

Except, of course, we did, through, er, Rooney.

Aren't you sick of always being wrong Ian? Why not give it a rest.
