I thought he was was a bit like Lukaku in the air today, jumping too early or being about a yard away from where the ball wound up.

You can't play like that if you are centre forward for Everton. It's unacceptable whether your a teenager or 37. His basics were diabolical. He was actually a threat for them cause he started about a dozen counter attacks. I hope it was just an off day but other than Watford he's been woeful since the City game where he was superb.

This is so Everton. The kid is 20 years old. In a position where some only reach their best in late 20s, even 30s. He’s good enough to be a World Cup winner at his age group. Now compare him to Solanke (who looked more mature in the WC games). He’s being fed in gently. No great expectation. Our kids get thrown in & slagged off for not being world beaters.

Best comparison right now. If he learns to finish under pressure and studies the position, he could be some player. Has all of the physical qualities.

Bemused at Savage putting him forward as man of the match. You can't fault his work ethic but Jesus could we benefit from someone up there who can use the ball at their feet.

He's a young kid who has just put an almighty shift in during a pressure game. Won a pen, put pressure under Hart for the 3rd, earned the corner for the 4th with an effort that was going in.

A long way to to but he's learning the hard way in a team lacking a lot of things.
