We’re Everton. We don’t do that.

We isolate forwards on their own and play three defensive midfielders versus bottom of the league.

Barney I know and share your frustration at such stupidity.

But we have the right players - just the wrong manager, again!
 
Players like Davies, Kenny and DCL are youngsters thrown into a struggling team and are being blamed because they are not able to raise the team.
You would need a young player of the calibre that Rooney had at that age to have any hope of doing that.
Lookman is gaining cult status on here because he hasn't been in the team, luckily for him, he would not have been able to carry the team any better and would then be slaughtered on places like this.

Bloody hell Sagey: wins the header, first to the knock down, sidesteps a defender, great shot saved by the keeper and first to the rebound to steer it in - what the hell do you want from a young lad, in a final, from the edge of the area with two defenders in attendance and the best keeper in the tournament to beat?

Er, but by definition, he 'finished'...

And won three challenges en-route.

The epitome of intelligent, adaptive, determined, astute goalscoring, surely.

Or does every 'finisher' have to volley it from the halfway line, back to goal, while being held around the neck by two defenders?

Poor volley straight at the keeper and then tries his best to miss a simple tap in. Very lucky that keeper made a hash of the saves

He and two dozen others Macca. Our demise is not Calvert-Lewin's fault. Indeed, he is one of the few who seems to care and makes an effort - even when played as ridiculously out-of-position as Martina!
