DCL is a good finisher, he just didn't have any 1 on 1 opportunities today, that wasn't what his game was about today.

He's going to get plenty of opportunities during the season whether he's first choice or not .could not of asked more of him tonightDid well. Pleased for him.
Don't think he'll keep his place though.
Great minds...Unsworth saw it and all, recommended we went after him afterall.
spent nothing per month still seen itBest two quid per month I've ever spent.
Being right on the internet is ace.
Playing well tbf
spent nothing per month still seen it
People saying "I told you so" are laughable.
Everyone wrote him off as a winger because... he's not a winger.
The lad who starts upfront is a completely different player. A real sensation. Hold the ball up, makes runs behind the defence and importantly isn't too selfish. That's two assists for him now.
I'm delighted for him!
Good lad.
Nice to see credit given where it's due
Actually tonight highlighted our need for a more recognised striker because
a ) We can't expect DCL to lead the line week in, week out at his age ( Rom did like, but he was exceptional for his age in terms of both talent and strength ) and
b ) The lad was knackered by the end and we really needed another option, or to bring DCL on when our new "main man" had done his shift.
If we do sign another striker, and we certainly need to, then DCL will likely play second fiddle, but he's showing he'll be a more able deputy than we've had for quite some time.
Miserable git. I'm thinking 2 league games, 2 assists for Rooney. 38 more please.2 league games, 2 assists for Rooney. 23 more please.
Do you actually know what that word means?
Carra is a prize one. I've never understood why anyone on here gives him the time of day.DCL getting stick from carragher for getting a fellow professional sent off. The biggest hypocrite ever. The conduct of RS players in numerous derbies to get Everton players sent off (of which carragher was one of the main culprits) is soon forgotten, but not by me.
