Inconsistencies with younger players but, I don't think I've seen him play 'badly' in his real position?

have to admit i was completely wrong about this one. thought he was an utter donkey that offers nothing up until recently but i'm slowly starting to understand what it is that koeman, the england youth set up and loads around the club see in him. his hold up play and intelligent runs today were outstanding, don't mind having him as an option at all now. good work rate too! very pleased with today's showing

Good game and great experience for him but not yet good enough to be a first choice striker in the Premier league yet imo. we still need a more proven striker desperately if we want to challenge for top 5.

There was one instance where he should lay it back to Siggurdsson, instead he played a low cross into the keeper.

Hopefully that part of his game can be improved by his awareness.

Very clever for the goal... feint his cross and it opened up and gave Rooney time to get in the box... then put a perfect pass into his feet... still a quality finish too...
