RK has put a lot of faith in the lad and it would be great for all of us if he is the genuine article.

CAN WE JUST SAY we've got a developing talent who is already capable of a good performance against a top side and if he can develop consistency and improve his finishing could be a real player for us?

No we can't , because that would be the sensible and logical thing to say

Neville called him out and said every defender tries to get opposition players booked or gain an advantage in some way.

You can but you may not - you have to have an extreme view at all times. He is brilliant/awful simple as - thems the GOT rules.

I've personally rated DCL since the end of last season. I've generally thought there was something about him whenever he played.

He's still young but some very promising signs. Obviously the playing staff knew more than I did. As I just didn't see it last season.

To be fair he did look well out of place playing on the wing but has impressed me as a central striker almost every time i've seen him. Also seems to have developed considerably physically in the last 12 months

I'm a big fan of DCL, Dave. Think he's got a great touch, pace, movement, links up well and wins a lot in the air. Defo a cut above the likes of Vaughan and Anichebe, no question. Will he go onto be a Harry Kane? Who knows but I'm certain he'll have a good career in the PL. Just hope Koeman gives him a good run upfront in the Europa League and finally swerves playing him out wide or heaven forbid wingback again.

Plenty of posters calling DCL "gash" well before he even had a chance to develop in the first team and show what he's capable of. And at the same time saying we should spunk millions on young strikers from the continent with zero Prem experience.

Judging Klaassen to be "the Dutch Naismith" and therefore gash after a few appearances.

Cryarsing because Kenny wasn't playing based on pretty much zero first team experience.

Similar cryarsing because we sent Dowell out on loan who, apparently, should be in the first team despite having less experience than DCL.

Strange bunch.
