people have lost the ability to think for themselves, they just pick a side and stick with it.

fine for football, but such tribalism isn't healthy for politics.

Ah right so you agree with enforcing immigration laws then? It's just the way Trump says it that you object to. You should vote trump then as Hillary will not enforce border control.

There is nothing wrong with the wall apart from muh feels.

Are we seriously suggesting that Clinton was advocating banning everyone of a particular faith, or branding migrants from a neighbour rapists and thieves? It's a narrative saying that those who are different are not only not beneficial to your life, but they are actively harmful to it. That's incredibly ugly, and that's why he's branded a racist, not because he wants to enforce migration laws.

Could I just ask what you find morally objectionable about banning Muslim immigration? It's a precaution, we can't be certain who is or is not a terrorist so we don't let any in.

Also, everyone understands Mexicans aren't all rapists and criminals. However Mexico is crime ridden and it does cross over into the American nation. It needs to be stopped.

Trump is bombastic, but it's just rhetoric and it seems to work in America.

Yeah but using money from another budget doesn't necessarily justify the price of building the wall, what will the wall achieve and is the cost of building the wall worth it?

I don't know how Trump proposes to pay for the wall. Perhaps Mexico will pay for it. lol My suggestion is to use the foreign aid budget.

The wall will be used to stop illegal immigration. Will it work? I don't know. But it would be symbolic.

And that's where I think @Bruce Wayne is correct. Nationalism is on the rise throughout the West. Trump, Brexit etc. increase the momentum and shift the Overton window. The wall will be a physical manifestation of a rejection of globalism and a return to putting ones own nation first. I see this as positive step forward.
