Yup, I have different opinions to most on here. The majority are left wing. However, I try to be polite and I try not to insult others. I have no ill meaning towards anybody. And although things I write on here can seem blunt, I'm a nice guy and in real life I'm pretty decent at explaining my viewpoints.

I have noticed and respect that, but from my point of view, it's like Hitler smiling during one of his speeches. Sorry mate.

I don't agree with the law. I would change it.

But how would you stop illegals from simply giving birth to obtain citizenship?
I'd also change the law - but to make legal immigration much easier.

Short of ridiculously authoritarian approaches you can't stop people from having kids and I don't object to it in any case - and I say this as a resident of a state where roughly 13% of the kids in school have at least one illegal parent.

Jesus Christ. Stop it. This is the kind of fascism that turns me off the left wing completely. Granted I don't buy into the political system at all but come on. Respectfully disagree with people and don't compare them to having committed genocide. F*ckin hell.

At what point do we realize that there are too many people in general already in this country though regardless of background? We can't allow an unlimited amount of people in for economic reasons.

I'm not even a lefty ffs. I'm a decent human being though.
Nor would I imply you're not. And I certainly wouldn't compare you to a genocidal maniac due to you having a different opinion on a deeply complex topic. Which is why I said that it makes me look twice at what you say not that you are a bad person. As for the lefty comment, it is a tactic used going as far back (that I have seen) as the Vidal vs Buckley debates that when the left disagrees with a statement the person making the statement in question is likened to a nazi.

To be extra clear I do not share the same opinion as @SNova .

I don't think there are too many people in the US although perhaps my viewpoint may be skewed from living in the UK and travelling in Japan where population density is much higher.

What economic reasons are there that should we restrict immigration? Immigration is the foundation of recent American history and overall my impression is that it has been economically beneficial.

The Hitler comment wasn't supposed to be a Godwin's Law comment, it was the first name to come into my head (and probably most's) when comparing Trump's rhetoric to other well known world leaders. Sometimes, Godwin's is applicable, it's just over used.

People of similar viewpoint are so incomprehensible to me that I can't fathom it, I can understand it's their viewpoint, but the logic behind it just astounds me, being myself a migrant.

It is my opinion that there are too many people on the PLANET period. As more immigrants come in they fill out the middle class (as they are generally affluent for their situations) that would be better served by better educating and progressing the lower classes already here instead of importing people to take their prospective places in the general workforce. It creates scenarios where funds are also funneled out of the country as earnings are shunted off to other countries as well when small town America is decaying in front of our eyes. To see the impoverished areas of middle and southern America makes many wonder why aid is sent all around the world for political gain when we are neglecting enormous populations of the people that are supposed to be their constituents and their "bosses".

Fair nuff. I find the prospect of Hilary only slightly less nauseating as a President than Trump but then again I don't feel the presidential office holds much more than symbolic weight. Which is what I feel Hilary will be elected upon as a basis. To see the amount of people blinded by the fact that she has "lady parts" lol is crazy to me.
