Of those I'd say Obama wasn't elected on a positive wave. I think the yanks were war weary and sick of dubya.
Edit I'm aware of the 2 term law but he poisoned the GOP.

The financial crash was a huge factor too. McCain's chances were always small but that nuked it.

if you vote Clinton you're effectively voting for more Arab deaths, Europe more than US will feel the repercussions thereof.

Trump at least wants to work with Putin which should reduce such horrid foreign policies, thereby reducing the stress on Europe.

Paradoxically, given the media's take on Trump, he could well be the more humanist candidate to vote for.

Trump won't rule out nuking Europe! after dismantling NATO of course!
I'm no fan of Clintons foreign policy but to suggest that the world would be in safer hands with Trump is nuts.

Trump will want to meddle less and rely on Putin more, which will earn certain defence contracters less money so it could get very messy.

Then after 4 years of chaos he'll get ousted by Rand Paul and things will get better.

“To call Trump’s comments irresponsible might imply that he really had an understanding of what he was doing.”


USA is a mess and it'll get the candidate it deserves. Thereafter we can all begin to heal. Like how one recovers from a nervous breakdown by taking back control of one's life.

The alternative is more of the same. It looks like the majority aren't up for that.


Regarding Europe: what's not a safe plan is introducing millions of men from a culture that doesn't respect basic freedoms. This is already happening without Trump. It's happening partly because US/EU won't work with Putin.

that's actually a great analogy. personally, as the patient isn't getting any better, i'd give him the acid and see what happens.

The patient was on deaths door 8 years ago, doing much better now. Not the time for experimental medicine!
But seriously. You can see how I'd be anxious. I do have a lot to loose and although I don't like her, Clinton is the safer bet. I'm finding as I get older my priorities change. I'm not prepared to risk everything on a half-baked bet that the glow in the dark lunatic will ruin the country just enough that we'll be able to fix it.
