Donald Trump for President Thread

I can see more damaging stuff coming out about Trump in the run up to the final debate and the election itself. Can't see it having an effect on his core vote, if the stuff that has come out about him and the way he has handled his campaign hasn't turned voters off then I think they will stick with him. Swing voters won't be converted by him now. He may only be 5% behind but that is enough for him to loose fairly comprehensively. My thoughts are that he will far further behind over the next couple of weeks.
Have to say I am disappointed in him given his "now the shackles of the Republican Party are off" statement; I thought he would be completely out of control.

I think in four years time there will be a Trump/ Tea party hybrid running as a third party. Then it will be time to worry.
i said few days ago that there is a definite power vacuum in emerica atm. tea party like movement might be very well coming up...constitutionals or such

i see some think he might have thrown the towell in the ring already and has and alternative motive already lol wonder what it could be...

I think, I hope this campaign and election will be a salutary lesson for both the Republican and Democratic parties and in four years time they will put up creditable people before the electorate. Here's hoping.

I hope. I also firmly believe that this race would have been well and truly over had it been Sanders vs Trump. I somewhat respect people's reluctance to vote for Clinton, after all she is, in my opinion, a vile political operator.

Agree with the vacuum and the need to challenge the two current parties,(same in the UK), but Trump/ T party is not the answer.

As I said earlier, hopefully lessons will be learned by both parties after this. The Republicans must be kicking themselves for allowing Trump to be nominated, if they had put up any sort of creditable candidate they would have beaten Clinton.
Hopefully the Democrats look at it and realise they have gotten away with a massive mistake, Trump just might possibly be the only candidate Clinton could beat.
It certainly looks like the politics of"the lesser of two evils".

Like you I thought the lesser of two evils. So I read extensively on her past and found an admiration for all the work she has done, obviously taking into account the overblown e mail scandal and opinions on her behaviour regarding her husband. Not an ideal candidate but in my opinion good enough.
