With Van De Beek looking like he has ruled himself out of the season now, it does put the january transfer busines sinto a stark perspective. Out of 5 recruits, one unfortunatly got injured for the season, another has played around a minute of football. We have a midfielder who was fine and suddenly is not fine without an explanation, a 4th player who doesn't fit into the side this season and only the 5th finally making the team. Even during the protests at the board and the sacking or resignation of the director of football, nobody at the club is competent at transfers. We can only hope our new director is much better or this season will be potentially delaying the ineviteble.
