surely if we don't qualify for europe our revenue will be cut as we struggle to maintain profitability as it is any loss of revenue will mean reductions somewhere within the club hence loss of players

We havent spent that in the last 8 Transfer Windows.
The last time we spent money, was the £11m we spent on Yakubu, £4.5m of which we got back from the sale of Beattie.
So in the last 8 Transfer Windows, we have a NET spend of £6.5m.

The money we gain from playing in Europa League, would more than probably be less than the money we need to spend to play in this competition.
Unless we reach the semi or final, we probably make a loss, so it's probably better off, we are not playing in the Europa League, if it was the Champion League then it's another matter.

europa league adds a few mill to the revenue so effectively 1 decent players wage for a season if we lose it than either transfer budget will be gone or savings will have to be made
