If you're saying Moyes judgement was that this was the straw that broke the camel's back and he was happy to see a trouble maker off the squad because he felt had better impact players in the shape of Anichebe and Straq to turn to on the bench, then I'll happily leave it there and let others judge the manager's decision.

Im going to put your thoughts on this one down to the fact that your still hurting from saturday dave. We all are, but your wrong on this, just wrong.

It wasnt about replacements ..

HE KNEW Our replacements ...

Fox backs Moyes on this ..

Believe him ..

with the greatest of respect Davek it seems to me you're twisting your argument to suit. Let's just say, for arguments sake it was the straq who had been tossing about, would you still be hard nosing the Moyes is wrong line? Or due to straqs somewhat limited ability would it have been ok to bomb him? As lcab said, and many others, rules is rules. Play by them or koff

It's still the principle dave. You've said you could see the point if it was an immediate disciplinary action as soon as he stepped out of line. There will be a principle for that, major indiscretion means you're gone immediately. This is another principle that says if you keep messing about over and over again you're gone. You seem to reckon it'd be worth letting it slide until after a big game if it's only a series of minor things. Not really for me, doing the same bad **** time and again means you're not learning and not trying to be better. It's still a very strong principle.

I'd like to highlight Davek wants Manchester United to win next weekend (in other words he wants Everton to lose). Incase anyone missed that this morning.

BOOOOO!!!

Seems Drenthe tried to 'one up' Moyes by trying it on, on the eve of the semi, believing he was too important to be dropped.

Moyes volleyed him. And rightly so.

Maybe. I'm still with Davek on this one. He should have played him and then volleyed him. That's not really setting a bad example to the youngsters because ultimately he gets his come-uppance big time, but after he's served a purpose.

So was the domestic issue a complete fabrication? If his marriage really was falling apart it's surely a case for extra leeway?

Anyway, it looks like it's all history now. I guess we need to take our leave of Drenthe and move on. And i will do so with a heavy heart, because it's going to be difficult for a Club with our resources to find somebody with his skills. I guess i can learn to live with all this as long as he doesn't end up at RS.

He had 'extra leeway'. In the form of compassionate leave. Lot's of it.

Then he's only just back and flucks up again.
