He should have been told he had one last chance after the first time. Nothing else makes sense as far as the manager goes.
Everyone knows where they stand: job done.
Why does nothing else make sense dave?

OR he was sat down and told the next time is the last time.
And theres a 21 Year old French lad who has turned up on time for every training session, never just gone back Home to Holland, turned his phone off and missed team meetings, who would have seen some little Dutch clown take the complete piss for 6months and then given his place in the team.
Meanwhile, theres an 18 Year old young scouse lad whos had to play for the under18s, whilst waiting his time, turning up for training sessions, flying to America for some useless Cup, doing everything the Club tells him and who would kill to be on that Wembley pitch, watching as some utter bellend, who next Season wont even be an Everton player, takes the piss and gets on the pitch.
I could go on.
I reckon he'd be a very confused young man if he did that.OR he was sat down and told the next time is the last time.

But that was carrying on all season mate. Why did one more game matter?
Doesn't make sense. If Moyes had ****ed him off earlier thn those lads could have had time to stake a real claim for a start in the SF.
In no way does Moyes come out of this smelling of roses.
O ROYSTON, WE ALL WANTED LOVE YOU. SOME STILL DO, AND NO ACCEPT TRUTH. YOU MAKE JULIO WINKYSTICK ALL FLOPPY NOW.
AS WISE MAN ONCE SAID: ONE MAN DOES NOT MAKE FULL TEAM, BUT IF HE FALL IN FOREST CAN YOU HEAR HIM EAT PINEAPPLE.
HOW CAN YOU MAKE JULIO CRY THESE TEARS FROM DEEPEST BALLBAG.
Because he's either the disciplinarian he's sold as, or he's not. Seems to me we're being told he's persevered with the feller for a season and then just come to the realisation that "oh fcuk, this lad is taking the piss, that's it he's gone".
Consistency..timing...etc...
Teams aren't selected on who deserves it more though are they, they're picked on who can win you the game.

Exactly, if only Football was that romantic all the time. Unfortunately, sometimes you need ego's and bad tits on the pitch if they are capable of winning you a Football match. Whether it disillusions others or not, we'dve stood more of a chance with Drenthe on the pitch than we did without.
I'm not saying he definitely should have played as i'm sure its not so cut as dry as his poor punctuality. If that was the case and it has carried on all season, then why put a stop to it arguably when we need him the most? Turn a blind eye all season and THEN decide he's bang out of order. Doesn't make sense to me, he must have done something worse than what he's been carrying on with all season.
No player is bigger than the club, of course. But you make allowances for special players, every team does. Rooney cosying up to City last season and questioning Uniteds ambition (amongst other things). Tevez refusing to come on as a sub. Terry shagging his team mates missus. If you were that stubborn and stringent on what is acceptable and what isn't, they'dve all been binned.
Your best players always get a longer leash, no matter what the party line is about equality and rules.
Personally I think he does.
He gave the lad plenty of leeway, it flies in the face of the Moyes way or Highway policy, he had just returned from "leave" for personal reasons.
And then, he takes the pee.
So you and others are saying Moyes should just think, "This lad has been taking the piss all Season, ive given him his last chance and hes still taking the piss, ive got 30 other players in and around the first team squad, but this lads on Loan, so I should just let him take the piss, its only 1 more game, its only the biggest game of the Season and hes let the Club down, but I should still play him, cos hes Messiando".
Personally I think his "You fcking useless Dutch tvvat, your gone you utter bellend" option was the correct choice.
For me he had two options: 1) not stand for the feller's antics and get him out early before he had a chance to cause the carnage around the kids in the squad LCAB claims he was capable of and also robbed a player of a chance to break into the first team or 2) having stuck with him this far play him off the bench in the semi and then deal with it if he thought a tipping point had been reached.
What he did was some unhappy halfway house approach that leaves us all baffled.
