What if I am riding my bike at about 12-15mph?

*I do agree btw.
Coming out of my village there’s a cycle path to one side of the road (40mph limit) and I reckon 1 in 15 cyclists use it, the rest being on the road itself.
The ones using the road, I make sure I just clip them with my wing mirror as I pass at about 50.

Where do you live mate. This sounds like an easy claim opportunity.

You know the storm drains and debris thats at the sides of roads? Well thats where the DVLA decided cycle paths would work. They don't. Thats why cyclists go on the road. However, a cyclist should move over when they see an opportunity to allow faster moving traffic through. All part of the kind and considerate all road users should have.

Could be a poorly maintained cycle path. Also, cyclists are allowed to use the road regardless.

Really shouldn't be trying to hurt someone because of your inadequate driving skills.

Lovely.

TBF, round here at least, the cycle path connected to the road is often blocked by parked cars or the cycle lane is full of debris. Like everything else in this country, it's done half arsed. The other local 'cycle paths' are merely a white line painted down the middle of the pavement.

I often hear that cycle paths aren’t fit to ride on, but then I wonder whether that’s down to some cyclists choosing to ride bikes with tyres about 10mm wide that are more suited to a velodrome 🤷🏻‍♂️.
