He's just a coach - and according to Lukaku, Calvert-Lewin etc - a very good one.

Disagree with him being a pre-requisite to any new manager (unless we genuinely think he's a future Everton manager but even then perhaps better to learn the trade elsewhere) but let's not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

Replacement for Unsworth?

Just because he was a much loved ex player doesn’t mean he’s not doing a good job behind the scenes and only has his job because it’s ‘jobs for the boys’ - I’ve never been in a training session, I have genuinely no idea.

I would like there to be a fair few changes because we’re [Poor language removed]. I’ve got no idea if Ferguson, Baines, Unsworth are a negative contributing factor to that except I can place some blame on Unsworth as I’m not seeing any bright kids bursting onto the scene and that’s a big part of his job.

It's not about negative contribution but how good they are. They have won nothing apart from Unsworth and Ferguson who won an FA Cup. They can tell new players about what it's like to play for Everton and that's that. Ferguson is up BK arse "My Chairman" and vice versa.

He needs to go and learn management like Gerrard did in Scotland then come back to the PL, he has wasted a few years just sitting around when he could be doing a lot more. If he had done that he could of been in line to step in now, even as a temp.
Rafael has seen two people off now, I dont think Dunc will be the third but if Dunc was to move on and learn a higher roll in Scotland it wouldnt hurt us and could even help us in the future

This is my problem with him, lazy attitude. Go and prove yourself lad, learn your chops and then come back when you have proved something. Don't forget he only scored 20 odd goals for us, he was either injured or suspended for most of his time.

But how do you know he’s not world class? I’m not saying he is or he isn’t but he played at the highest level and did his qualifications and has had Lukaku - now worth £100m praise him as a coach and Calvert Lewin who went from a joke to a 20 goal a season striker under his tutelage praise him too so he can’t be that bad…
