Big Dunc played as much as Rodriguez and has had a cozy job forever. Yes on his day he was a superb player, yes he gets things going on pure emotion. That is very limited so I can't see why you would back him above a manager who had success at the very top level

The dunc - Rodriguez comparison is good. They were both supurb on their day. With James though you knew he was a pretty boy flair player from sunnier climate so half expected him be injury prone. With Duncan the hardman image and tone on the physio table is less excusable

If we are in for a clear out then in my opinion Ferguson needs to go as well as Unsworth, why are our youthmplayers not good enough for Premiership football?

Ferguson has been coach since Martinez and we have achieved nothing. A fresh approach is much needed in this department too. He is way too close to these players.

Just because he is a cult hero to many doesn’t make him good enough to coach these players. It must be in his contract that he stays whoever is manager of the football club and this needs addressing ASAP.

Right and he's a 'cult hero' he's not even an actual great player based on stats and achievements! we just love him cos he's just a 'proper blue' or something. But however much we like him, he's also got to be judged on achievements, and I really don't know who his actual line manager would be, assessing his qualities. I worked around Liverpool Hope Uni and i remember seeing DBB and unsworth around quite a lot when they were investing in the management school. I saw them talking loads at the cafe, and it just looked like it's a very cosy relationship and maybe DBB might not be ruthless with the football staff. (based on no evidence just speculating!)
